Ibrahim’s home raided over ‘international drug syndicate’

JOHN Ibrahim's Sydney home has been raided and brothers Michael and Fadi have been arrested in Dubai as part of a major operation targeting an international drug syndicate.

It is understood AFP officers swooped on the Ibrahim brothers as they ate dinner with two other known associates, the Daily Telegraph reports.

They are among 12 people arrested in Sydney and overseas as police raided 20 homes across the city in what is one of the biggest attacks on organised crime in decades.

Kings Cross identity John's Dover Heights home has been targeted as well as addresses in Vaulcuse, Bellevue Hill, Bankstown, Punchbowl and Arncliffe. It is believed is believed John is home.

Also arrested was Ahmad 'Rock' Ahamd, the brother of slain underworld figure Walid Ahmad.

The raids on Ibrahim's home comes just a week after the release of his autobiography.
