Funds to boost jobs
AN UNPRECEDENTED amount of funding is heading to Ipswich schools as the Federal Government aims to reverse the escalating unemployment rate.
Forty primary schools in the Blair electorate will share in $59,700,004 for major new infrastructure projects under Primary Schools for the 21st Century Round Two.
This will bring the total funding for local primary schools in Blair to $79,750,011 after two rounds
The Government has also delivered $10,487,521 worth of minor projects to 84 primary and secondary schools in Blair.
Australia's unemployment rate has jumped to 5.7 per cent after falling slightly in April.
Federal Member for Blair Shayne Neumann said the rising unemployment rate was one of the reasons why so much money was spent on job-creating infrastructure projects.
