Former NRL star fronts Qld court for drunken rampage
FORMER Dalby Diehards player and State of Origin great Carl Webb has been ordered to undergo a mental health assessment following a drunken rampage in North Queensland earlier this year.
Webb, 34, was sentenced to 18 months probation at Cairns Magistrates Court yesterday.
He appeared on a string of charges resulting from an incident in March during which it is alleged he threatened neighbours and jumped on a bonnet of a car.
The former Brisbane Broncos and North Queensland Cowboys forward was charged with threatening violence, wilful damage, and three counts of entering a dwelling with intent.
The court ordered Webb to submit to medical, psychological and psychiatric assessment.
The court also ordered he pay $2137 in compensation for damages caused.
