Former officer allegedly asked teen to perform indecent acts
A FORMER Fraser Coast police liaison officer is on trial for trying to procure a teenage girl to do indecent acts for him.
The girl, in a recorded police video shown in Brisbane District Court on Wednesday, described how Vincent Michael Terare, 44, did not want to ask out loud so he allegedly wrote his request on a piece of paper.
"Can you suck or pull my c***?" he allegedly asked, in return for not revealing a secret the girl had hoped to keep from her family.
"I said, 'I can't do that, it's not right'," she told police.
The girl said Terare was ok with her answer, ripped up the piece of paper and put it in a bin.
But she said he then asked, if she would not do that, whether she would just lay on top of him for a while.
She again declined.
"I was scared," she told police.
The girl said Terare allegedly tried one last time, asking her to open her legs so he could see under her dress, so he could masturbate.
She again told him she could not and he made her promise not to tell anyone.
But the girl said her friends and family could later tell she was upset and she revealed what had happened.
Allegedly the acts took place at Caboolture.
Terare has pleaded not guilty to three counts of trying to procure a child under 16 to do an indecent act.
The jury could begin deliberations as early as Thursday.
