MATT Tuffy has a dream job, he gets paid to travel the country and go fishing.
Tuffy spent the start of this month in Mackay and the past two weeks in Airlie Beach.
Today he is heading north to Ayr.
"We've decided to head around Australia for the next three years and promote my business which is Imitate Baits, a soft plastics lure company," Tuffy said.
"I'm also sponsored by another 18 to 20 sponsors that also assist with what we do."
Tuffy spent time in Mackay with local sponsor Josh Geiger who owns Mackay's Nugsy Braid.
"He sponsors all of my braid and they were kind enough to supply accommodation in the Mackay area for us," Tuffy said.
During the three weeks he spent in Mackay, Tuffy said he got a bit of fishing done and did "pretty well".
"We managed to get out and get a few fish and have a good time," he said.
"I've really enjoyed it, we'll definitely be coming back through here for sure.
"We got some salmon and I took the young fellow (Nate) out and got some bream, some spangled emperor... we dropped a few big queenies too which was a bit annoying."
During the trip Tuffy will film a marketing campaign for Big 4 Australia.
"We're travelling from caravan park to caravan park and filming a series for them, based on fishing, and also just the whole experience," he said.
