Semi-trailer explodes into flames, blocks highway

UPDATE: A QFES spokesman said crews left the scene just after 9.30am.

He said two urban and two rural fire crews attended.


EARLIER: No one is believed to have been injured after a truck fire on the Peak Downs Hwy.

A QFES spokeswoman said they received the call to attend the semi trailer on fire on the highway at Coppabella about 7.45am.

She said one crew is on scene and another one is on the way.

The spokeswoman said the fire had spread to surrounding grass and a council water truck has been requested.
