Fire breaks out at Coast holiday resort

UPDATE 11.25am: Firefighters have extinguished a fire that broke out at a Sunshine Coast resort.

Two fire crews were called to the Sebel Resort site at Twin Waters, after reports of a garage fire. 

The first crew arrived to find furniture next to the garage was ablaze. 

Firefighters were able to douse the fire within minutes, and called off the second crew that was yet to arrive. 

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokeswoman said a fire investigation would be undertaken. 

BREAKING 11am: Fire crews are arriving at the scene of a reported garage fire at a Sunshine Coast holiday resort.

Two fire crews have been sent to Twin Waters, after a 000 caller reported the fire on North Shore Rd at 10.49am.

The fire is reportedly at or near the site of the Sebel Resort.

Paramedics are also on the way.
