A SUNSHINE Coast mum, 33, "just sat down and went to sleep" and never woke up, now it has been revealed why she died.

Anna Ward's husband Brett and the couple's five children were left devastated with her sudden and unexpected death.

Now Mr Ward has the answers the whole family was looking for.

"It was a massive heart attack," he said.

"The investigation report just finished, apparently she had other smaller heart attacks previously and was unaware."

He said the report had been finalised only a few days ago, and swatted speculation from one commenter who suggested drugs could have been involved in Mrs Ward's death.

"She was a beautiful person and a great mother," he said.

"We have been in limbo trying to make sense of things until now, so now you know."

In the wake of Mrs Ward's death the community rallied around her family, donating more than $15,000 to help with funeral costs and other expenses.
