Elderly man injured in Lismore hit-and-run

UPDATE 1.35pm: AN 85-year-old man involved in a hit-and-run incident at Lismore's Masters carpark is now in hospital.

A NSW Ambulance spokesman said the man was treated at the scene before being taken to Lismore Base Hospital by ambulance in a stable condition.

INITIAL REPORT 12:10pm: AN ELDERLY man is being treated by paramedics after being involved in a hit-and-run incident at Lismore's Masters carpark.

A NSW Ambulance spokesman said paramedics were called to the Bruxner Highway premises at 11.45 after reports an elderly male patient had been involved in a collision with a car.

Police were called to the scene and are appealing to witnesses who saw the incident involving the 85-year-old man to come forward.

Paramedics are still at the scene treating the man whose condition remains unknown.

The car involved in the collision has reportedly fled the scene.
