Edwards the seventh new man to run on for Tigers in 2013

FORMER West Coast and North Melbourne forward Aaron Edwards will become the seventh new face to line up for Richmond in season 2013 when he plays against West Coast at Patersons Stadium tonight.

The Tigers have become the competiton's new foreign legion this season, having already unveiled Ricky Petterd (from Melbourne), Chris Knights (Crows), Sam Lonergan (Essendon), Orren Stephenson (Geelong), Troy Chaplin (Port) and youngster Nick Vlastuin.

Edwards has been in outstanding form at VFL level with Coburg, kicking 20 goals in five games.

He replaces Luke McGuane who kicked 11 goals in the first five AFL rounds but has dropped away since, managing just three in the past four weeks.

Small forward Robin Nahas has also been dropped, replaced by defender Matt Dea.

West Coast coach John Worsfold has named the same 22 that beat GWS by 100 points last weekend, although Andrew Embley, Adam Selwood and Patrick McGinnity have been included on an extended bench.

The match is being played as part of the state's WA Day celebrations.
