Dog owner finds pet dumped in wheelie bin

A DOG owner returned home to find her terrier cross inside a wheelie bin with the lid closed.

Police said the incident occurred on July 7 on Stuart Hindle Dr, Mount Pleasant.

The dog was found in a state of distress but has since recovered fully.

Nothing was found to be stolen or disturbed.

Police are seeking information about the incident.
