Diamonds on collision course with Jamaica

A WIN against Wales tonight will guarantee Australia top spot in Pool F and a World Cup semi-final match-up against Jamaica tomorrow afternoon.

The Aussies overpowered South Africa 66-31 on Wednesday night and victory against the Welsh girls will make it three-from three in the qualification games.

Jamaica will finish second behind New Zealand in Pool E provided it accounts for Malawi in its final qualification match today.

The Tall Ferns are unbeaten in Pool E - and the only unbeaten team in the tournament after downing Australia in the preliminary rounds - and will finish top with a win against surprise packet Uganda today.

That will see the world No.2 take on England in tomorrow's other semi-final, provided England finishes with a win against South Africa today.

The two semi-final winners will play in the gold medal game at 3.20pm on Sunday.
