INJURED Dragons prop Mike Cooper is hopeful of returning in time to take on the Titans at Kogarah on Friday night.

The England international has been sidelined as a result of scans revealing several bulging discs in his neck and back.

Knights five-eighth Jarrod Mullen is also set for a return against Melbourne at Hunter Stadium on Sunday.

The veteran No.6 had surgery on a hamstring tear after his team’s 26-10 loss to Manly in round eight.

He is now poised for a return three weeks ahead of schedule after intensive rehabilitation.

And Manly back-rower Nathan Green said his confidence playing in the back row was growing after a strong game in the Sea Eagles’ 36-6 thrashing over his former club the Dragons in round 17, before the bye last weekend.

“(Manly coach) Trent Barrett has shown a lot of confidence in me ... I’m enjoying it now and really starting to get a grasp on it,” said Green, who’s played a lot in the centres.
