Cooper keen to take on Titans

INJURED Dragons prop Mike Cooper is hopeful of returning in time to take on the Titans at Kogarah on Friday night.

The England international has been sidelined as a result of scans revealing several bulging discs in his neck and back.

Knights five-eighth Jarrod Mullen is also set for a return against Melbourne at Hunter Stadium on Sunday.

The veteran No.6 had surgery on a hamstring tear after his team’s 26-10 loss to Manly in round eight.

He is now poised for a return three weeks ahead of schedule after intensive rehabilitation.

And Manly back-rower Nathan Green said his confidence playing in the back row was growing after a strong game in the Sea Eagles’ 36-6 thrashing over his former club the Dragons in round 17, before the bye last weekend.

“(Manly coach) Trent Barrett has shown a lot of confidence in me ... I’m enjoying it now and really starting to get a grasp on it,” said Green, who’s played a lot in the centres.
