Choir goes back in time

THE Cambrian Show Choir singers are taking fans back in time at their new, groovy performance.

The choir is showcasing the funky sounds of the 70s at its Vocal Fusion concert on the weekend.

Choir member Lauren Roche said with songs such as September, Best of My Love, Stairway to Heaven and Queen's iconic Bohemian Rhapsody, there will be something for all to enjoy.

"Hits by well-known artists such as The Jackson Five, The Bee Gees and ABBA will all make an appearance, sending the audience on a musical journey down memory lane," she said.

"To add to the enjoyment, Saturday's performance is a wine and cheese evening with each ticket including a free glass of wine or soft drink on arrival. Wine and cheese platters will also be available for sale on the night.

"Sunday will be a pleasant afternoon concert, with a supplied afternoon tea to round out the show."

The concert will be held from 7.30pm Saturday and 2.30pm on Sunday at the Cambrian Centre, 10 South Station Rd, Booval.

Tickets cost $15 each. Phone 3351 6062 to book.
