Child becomes stuck in playground

EMERGENCY crews rushed to Warwick East State School after a child became trapped in the playground.

The 12 year old slipped, and her leg became tangled in chains while she was playing on the equipment.

Firecrews were forced to cut the girl's leg loose with bolt cutters.

When freed she was attended to by paramedics, who provided her with pain relief and an icepack for her knee.

Her mother was present at the scene, as well as number of teachers from the school.

She was transported to Warwick Hospital.
