Busking girl's cash tin stolen to pay for teen's cigarettes
AN 11-YEAR-OLD busker was left shaken after a 17-year-old boy stole her money tin to buy a packet of cigarettes.
Bundaberg Police Acting Inspector Joe Hildred said the girl was busking outside Olsen's Foodworks when the man allegedly bent down as if he was putting money in.
Acting Inspector Hildred said he picked up the container, swore at the girl and told her to "get a job".
"The suspect walked inside the store and purchased a packet of cigarettes and left the scene on foot," he said.
He was later located by police and allegedly made full admissions.
He was arrested and charged with stealing.
