Bunkered down at Mooloolaba Beach

THE flags are up at Mooloolaba Beach but the life savers are bunkering down from the windy conditions.

Amateur photographer Brant Hardgrave captured these two life savers hiding away from the weather.

The life savers got to work digging in the towers to prevent them from falling over.

Brant said despite the weather some people were still swimming.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology winds are southerly 15 to 20 km/h light in the morning then becoming southeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the middle of the day.
