Woman withdraws assault complaint against NRL star Te'o

A BRISBANE woman alleging she was physically assaulted by Souths forward Ben Te'o in the presence of fellow NRL players Corey Norman and Darius Boyd has withdrawn her complaint to police.

A Queensland police spokesman confirmed officers had attended an incident on the night some five weeks ago but that all allegations had been formally withdrawn by the complainant, who requested no further police action.

"This matter is no longer under investigation," the police spokesman said on Wednesday.

The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has told police she was punched by Te'o. On Monday, she conducted a tell-all interview with Channel Nine News, which will be aired on Wednesday.

In the interview, the woman claims: "I was laying in the hallway with blood everywhere ... I could have been dead for all they know."

Te'o - who made his State of Origin debut for Queensland last year - released a statement on Wednesday, vigorously denying the allegations.
