Body found in bushland near North Coast beach

BYRON Bay police are preparing a brief for the coroner after a body was discovered about 2pm today in bushland near Tallow Beach.

A NSW Police media spokeswoman said the death was not being treated as suspicious at this stage.

She said police were yet to formally identify the body.

The cause of death is unknown.
