Bindi Irwin: 18 magic photos to mark her 18th birthday

IT'S hard to believe for anyone who can remember when little Bindi Sue Irwin was born to Australia Zoo's Steve and Terri but the Jungle Girl turns 18 this Sunday, July 24.

Daddy's little girl grew up fast when Steve was killed by a stingray barb while filming a documentary in 2006.

She and her younger brother, Robert, have stepped up to help their mum keep the Zoo and their favourite topic, wildlife conservation, in the public eye.

Last year, Bindi proved to be an international star when she won America's Dancing with the Stars program.

Although she is happy to go public when promoting the Zoo, Bindi is a little more elusive when off-duty.

She and professional wakeboarder Chandler Powell are said to be an item and the gossip pages love to snap up a photo of the two on an outing.

Although no longer the little girl with the gap-toothed smile and pig-tails, Bindi still charms the camera.
