Bennett's best Broncos beat Cowboys

DEFENCE wins rings, trophies, championships.

And Brisbane Broncos coach Wayne Bennett said his side is one of the best defensive sides he's had.

Brisbane's goal line defence was critical in its four-point win over the Cowboys on Saturday night and Bennett said he rated it among the best teams in his career.

"We've led the competition on a number of occasions over the years with really top sides," he said.

"These guys are as good as anyone I've ever had because they have a belief and a trust in each other and they don't want to let each other down.
