Federal Government pumps $230 million into regional jobs

MORE than $230 million for programs to support creating jobs in remote areas is now available, with the Federal Government calling for applications.

The $237.5 community development fund aims to improve the availability of jobs in remote and regional areas.

Funding will be available to community organisations to run programs to help create new jobs and connect local people to existing jobs.

The program is open for applications for a month, closing on June 21.
