IS Adam Bilkey the hardest working unemployed person in Australia?

After applying for 500 jobs, and being rejected every time, the 20-year-old Chapel Hill resident hopes someone somewhere will give him a break - and soon.

The university fine arts student has experience working in hospitality and is even a certified barista.

He told Quest Newspapers he wanted to find work as a copy-writer so he could continue his education.

However, he said he was willing to take any job that came his way.

"I've applied for jobs in cafes, as a kitchen hand, cashier, waiter and in sales positions," he said.

"I've applied for jobs as a dish washer but they want people under 19."

The RSPCA volunteer said he rarely received responses to his job applications

"A lot of my friends have the same sorts of stories, but I kind of want feedback," he said.

"I'd like more than a letter or nothing at all." - ARM NEWSDESK
