POLITICIANS could be confronted with some dirty toilets later this week, after the Parliament House cleaners went on strike yesterday.
The cleaners declared they would not clean the parliament from this morning (Monday) until Saturday this week.
It comes as their union, United Voice, fights for a pay increase for the largely shift-working cleaners.
The parliament will be busier than usual as parliament sits with upwards of 2000 people, from regular workers to public servants and lobbyists, often visiting the House during sittings.
