Celebrities make their way to Allan Pease's Buderim studios

STEP by step, Allan Pease reckons he's getting closer to hosting all his idols at his Heliport Studios in Buderim.

"Ideally, we'd like to get the Rolling Stones, but that hasn't happened yet - that would be great," he said.

For now, Mr Pease is happy to settle for celebrity chef Curtis Stone "dropping in at late notice" last Thursday.

Perhaps best known for his appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Oprah Winfrey Show, Stone was at the studios to record his latest lamb cutlet commercial for an American supermarket.

Mr Pease said Stone had been a little embarrassed during the commercial as he had cut his finger "to the bone" while cooking the previous evening.

As a result, he was forced to hide his hand from the camera during the shoot.

"He cut his finger, so he couldn't cook anything, so he had a pizza," Mr Pease said with a laugh.

Stone was the latest in a long list of high-profile celebrities to use Mr Pease's world-class studios.

Other acts have included performers from The Voice, The John Butler Trio, John Merchant (Bee Gees and Barbara Streisand producer), and Mark Spillane (producer for Billy Ray Cirus's latest album).

Mr Pease said the celebrity visits were helping create a buzz about the Sunshine Coast overseas.

"The Sunshine Coast, it's pretty much a secret outside Australia," he said.

"Americans think it's somewhere in Florida because there's a Sunshine Coast in Florida.

"Everyone who comes here always says they're coming back."
