$20,000 punt on Man City ends badly for Aussie

ONE Aussie punter was counting the cost yesterday after relegation-threatened Wigan upset Machester City 1-0 to claim the FA Cup at Wembley.

The match was the last of a 19-leg multi-bet the punter had going with sportsbet.com.au.

He invested $20,160.36 on matches over a two-week period including the NBA, NRL, AFL, European football ... even an MMA bout.

Had Man City won as expected he would have collected $587,000.
