More than 2000 sign petition in a week for murder inquest

COMMUNITY sentiment surrounding The Chronicle's online petition calling for murdered Toowoomba teen Annette Jane Mason's killers to be brought to justice has intensified.

Queensland Attorney-General Yvette D'Ath rejected calls for her to use her powers and order a coronial inquest into the teen's brutal murder.

More than 2000 people have signed the petition since it was launched last week.

People who have signed the petition left comments of anger and disgust at Ms D'Ath's inaction and unwillingness to give closure to Annette's heartbroken parents, who have waited more than 25 years for justice and answers.

The online petition calling on Attorney-General Yvette D'Ath to act and order a coronial inquest into the murder of Annette Jane Mason is at http://www.change.org/p/justice-for-murdered-toowoomba-teen-annette-jane-mason
