THERE'S nothing like yoga to help a kid relax after a tough day of kindy or school.

Ipswich children will be able to learn yoga exercises at the Look Good Feel Good Expo this month.

Yoga instructor Carmel Elmore will launch the kids' yoga branch of her Amrita Yoga and Natural Therapies business at the expo, which runs from February 24 to 26 at the Ipswich Civic Centre.

"I'll lead a children's yoga workshop on Saturday at 10am, and an adults class on Sunday," Ms Elmore said.

Children's yoga classes should help kids to develop a variety of important new skills.

"The benefits depend on the age of the child and what they can do," Ms Elmore said.

"Children can really benefit from yoga from age three and up.

"The younger kids will be able to learn different breathing techniques." Classes will be offered for children aged up to 17.

Junior yoga fan Ella Pearl, aged four, said practising yoga movements was "fun."

Mother Jessica Pearl said yoga had captured Ella's interest.
