THE NRL All Stars day at the Gold Coast tomorrow will be a proud moment for one Proserpine family.

Former Whitsunday Brahman Travis Waddell will play for the Indigenous side in the main match at Skilled Park, just after his younger sister Naomi Bobongie has taken to the field for the women's clash.

It's the second time the pair has featured in the All Stars event and Bobongie said it was the only brother/sister combination taking part.

"We're lucky to have the opportunity to play on the same field," she said.

She said Waddell, who sometimes helped her out with playing tips, was looking forward to his third All Stars match, particularly since the team was chosen by public votes.

He's also keen to cement his place in the Canberra Raiders line-up after spending much of 2011 with feeder club Souths Logan.

"His goal is to just give it his best," Bobongie said.

Waddell, 22, will start at hooker in Saturday's match and is joined in the Indigenous side by Mackay star Ben Barba, who plays NRL for the Bulldogs.

The Indigenous outfit will be in for a tough match against an equally star-studded NRL All Stars side, which features big names such as Benji Marshall and Cooper Cronk.

The main game kicks-off at 7pm Queensland time and will be televised.
