Tariq Sims models the new members’ jersey.
THE Cowboys will have 2000 of their members even closer to them than normal when they run on to Dairy Farmers Stadium for the NRL round six clash with the Melbourne Storm.
Membership ambassador Tariq Sims yesterday launched the 2012 Cowboys heritage members' jersey which for the first time offers North Queensland members the chance to have their name on a jersey.
The Cowboys will wear their new heritage strip in the Easter weekend match and it will be adorned with 2000 members' names, including players in the NRL squad.
The offer is open to all renewing and new members, but they must register at http://www.cowboys.com.au/ to confirm they want their name alongside the likes of Sims, Johnathan Thurston, Matthew Scott, Matthew Bowen and Brent Tate.
The offer will close at noon on Tuesday, February 7, or once 2000 names are received.
