GROWTH SPURT: Assistant manager Andrew Stevens at the enlarged RT Edwards Booval showroom.
CUSTOMERS of well- established Ipswich business RT Edwards are about to be rewarded for their loyalty with a bigger store and more choice of products.
This weekend, January 14 and 15, RT Edwards' Booval store will launch an expanded showroom.
Guests will include rugby league cheerleaders and Ipswich Jets players.
Drawcards will also include a free sausage sizzle, face painting, sale prices and special deals on selected items.
Regional manager Sebastian Ferrari said the most exciting part of the 600sq m expansion was the furniture side of the business.
"We have added a new furniture range just for our Queensland stores," he said.
"Booval, our main Ipswich store, is a hub for us.
"We believe it will be our number-one Queensland store in the future, out of 18 stores.
"We have a rich history in Ipswich - we just celebrated our 80th birthday.
"We've got a lot of loyal, repeat-business customers."
Mr Ferrari said RT Edwards' continued growth in the Ipswich region was the main reason for expansion at Booval.
"We appreciated that the store needed a new look and feel," he said.
"We offer a really good finance option and we've seen an enormous upturn in the rental market."
A new TV wall and cooking display are part of the expansion.
RT Edwards' Booval store, at 200 Brisbane Rd, was first opened in June 2007.
The company also maintains an electrical store at East St, Ipswich. A furniture retail business previously owned by RT Edwards on South St is now known as Furniture Court and is run by the Holdorf family.
