The Producers takes centre stage

TIME is running out to book seats for Ipswich Musical Theatre Company's latest production, The Producers.

Artistic director Brenda Ryan says the show is “great entertainment”.

“You really feel you have met these characters before,” she said.

“The Mel Brooks humour in the dialogue and the words of the songs are very funny and very, very clever.”

Director/choreographer Ruth Gabriel said the show was “character driven”.

“We follow the adventures of the main people as their lives unfold during the evening,” she said.

“The music is amazing – complex, but singable and very memorable. The dialogue pokes fun, gently.”

The Producers will be performed at the Ipswich Civic Centre on September 11 and 18 from 7.30pm and on September 12 at 2pm.
