THE Queensland government is reconsidering the Chile leg of a trade mission, following a devastating earthquake there.
Premier Anna Bligh is due to lead a trade mission to South America from April 22.
But she said the disaster in Chile, which has killed at least 700 people, could force an itinerary change.
"Clearly the inclusion of Chile on the proposed trade mission in April is something we will now have to take further advice on," she said.
"We certainly wouldn't want any trade mission from Queensland to add any pressure to a country that's experiencing a shocking natural disaster."
She said the government was waiting to speak to Chilean officials on the matter.
