Over the last two weeks, Queensland has been battered by a flurry of wild storms, causing up to $100 million across the state.
A FURTHER 12 Queensland councils now have access to disaster relief funding in the wake of former cyclones Olga and Neville.
Joint state and Federal Government relief arrangements now extend to 38 councils.
The latest to join the list are Barcaldine, Central Highlands, Longreach, Maranoa, Paroo, Rockhampton, Gladstone, Hinchinbrook, Isaac, Whitsunday, Winton and Woorabinda.
Queensland Emergency Services Minister Neil Roberts said the final damage bill from the wild weather was expected to be significant.
"Preliminary estimates of damage are around $100 million to date, and will continue to be assessed," he said.
Mr Roberts said the assistance currently did not extend to personal hardship but the situation would continue to be monitored for any such cases.
