HAPPY memories are sure to come flooding back when the Jacaranda Street Community Pre-School and Kindergarten celebrates its 35th anniversary.
The kindy started life as a playgroup for the adjoining church in 1979.
Director Melissa Henderson said the community-minded nature of the kindy had ensured families kept coming back over the years.
"The parents essentially run the kindy - if there is a fundraiser or a working bee, the parents are involved," she said.
The community fun day will be held at the kindy from 1-4pm on August 31.
It will feature a jumping castle and face painting, a sausage sizzle and stalls.
There will be class photos and excursion pictures from the last three decades on display.
