MUSICAL dreamboat Matt Corby has caused yet another stir around the water cooler, this time for his rendition of The Black Key's Lonely Boy for Like a Version on triple j.

Fans took to social media to express their satisfaction after the segment aired this morning, some even likening him to a young Jeff Buckley.

On Twitter, BdePalm  tweeted "Jeff Buckley born again" and jackcrane said it was "the best like a version performance @triplej is ever likely to have".

The 21-year-old Australian singer songwriter was runner-up on Australian Idol in 2007 at age 16, and since then has gone on to release four albums.

His latest album Into the Flame features his hit song Brother, which he also performed on triple j's morning show.
