Coming of age
IPSWICH'S S-Troupe theatre group is celebrating its 21st birthday with an exciting new show.
The production, titled 21 - Coming of Age, will showcase the group's work in the past two-and-a-bit decades, taking the audience on a journey through time.
S-Troupe director Melinda Park said 33 performers would be involved, including five of the originals from the first S-Troupe production in 1991.
"S-Troupe is run purely by a wonderful team of volunteers who generously give up every Sunday afternoon to help bring this production to life and to see the true joy of performing," she said.
"This performance will include scenes from Cinderella, Rocky Horror, Oklahoma, Grease, Wizard of Oz, Annie, Mary Poppins, Willy Wonka and many more."
S-Troupe is a theatre group for special-needs actors and focuses on their abilities, rather than their disabilities.
Performances are at the Jean Pratt Building, Incinerator Theatre, on Friday, November 9, at 6pm; Saturday, November 10, at 3pm and 6pm; and Sunday, November 11, at 3pm.
All tickets are $10 and can be bought at the door.
